The Garfield Movie has officially been confirmed for a release date
Hey Garfield fans! The long-awaited Garfield movie is officially hitting the screens. Although the previous Garfield wasn’t released in the US that’s about to change as the new movie was released on May 24, 2024. It features the voice talents of Samuel L. Jackson, Pratt, Hannah Waddingham, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, and Ving Rhames. The movie is creatively directed by Mark Dindal, with the screenplay by Paul A. Kaplan, David Reynolds, and Mark Torgove.
Sony Pictures has announced that the sequel will be released on video-on-demand on July 9th. The movie will also be available for purchase rental on digital platforms. Make sure to grab your copy while you can!

The Garfield movie received a 36% ratin on Rotten Tomatoes from 131 critics. Since its release, criticisms have emerged regarding the lackluster voice acting of Star Pratt, which was noted to be very similar to his usual voice.
While opinions on the Garfield movie varied among fans, the debut was generally well-received with an 80% approval rating. The movie performed well at the box office, grossing $244.8 million worldwide and turning a profit on its estimated $60 million budget. It ranked as the 7th highest-grossing movie of 2024, coming close to surpassing Despicable Me 4 in earnings.
