Deadpool & Wolverine executive producer Wendy Jacobson has given a new update on the second season of Disney+’s superhero series She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.
During a recent interview with ComicBook, Jacobson revealed that she was uncertain about She-Hulk’s return to small screens. If She-Hulk did make a comeback, however, Jacobson has the perfect storyline.
“It’s a woman in her thirties trying to navigate her life, career, and friendships, and she also happens to be able to turn into a Hulk. So, I would love to explore more of that,” she stated. “There’s also a run in the comics where she goes into space and adjudicates cases for the Living Tribunal. So, I either want to be super, super grounded in L.A., or I want to take her out into the multiverse or into the universe.”
Although the show has yet to be officially canceled, Tatiana Maslany, who plays the starring role of Jennifer Walters, believes Disney will axe the series because the creative team overspent on the project.
After being asked about the new batch of episodes from She-Hulk in an interview from January of 2024, Maslany responded: “I don’t think so. I think we blew our budget, and Disney was like,’ No thanks.'”
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law focuses on Jennifer Walters, an attorney skilled with superhuman-oriented legal cases. As she juggles a hectic career, Jennifer also has to navigate through life experiences as a 30-something who is 6’7 and possesses Hulk’s superpowers.
The series stars Mark Ruffalo and Tim Roth, who reprise their roles as Bruce Banner/The Hulk and Abomination. Other cast members include Jameela Jamil, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Josh Segarra. Charlie Cox made a guest appearance in She-Hulk, portraying Daredevil. Jessica Gao serves as the show’s primary writer. Meanwhile, Kat Cairo and Anu Valia are the executive producers.
