Orlando Bloom has addressed his potential return to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The actor, who plays Will Turner in the first three films, spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the upcoming rebooted Pirates of the Caribbean movie, noting that producer Jerry Bruckheimer is “pretty excited” about it.
“It’ll be interesting to see,” Bloom stated. “Jerry always brings out the big guns, as it were – pardon the pun. Cannons, I should say.”
Afterward, Bloom was asked if he would return for another Pirates of the Caribbean installment. In response, he proposed that he’d be open to it because he enjoyed the experience.
“Listen, it was a wild and fun experience so, you know, never say never. I have a lot of respect for that experience, and Jerry, and the whole thing,” Bloom continued. “But who knows? I mean, it’s sort of one of those things I really haven’t thought about it, really.”
He added, “I’m happy that I got to be a part of something that feels like it’s standing the test of time, which is cool.”
So far, no other details have surfaced about the new Pirates of the Caribbean film.
