Scoop of the Day
A$AP Rocky wasted no time celebrating his recent legal victory. After being acquitted of felony assault charges, he took to Twitter on the very same day to tease an upcoming album.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for seven years to hear new music from him, and the not guilty verdict seems to have reenergized his creative spirit—an understandable reaction. On Thursday night, A$AP Rocky delighted his followers with a snippet of an untitled new track, providing them with a preview of his artistic direction and what they can expect from his forthcoming project, DON’T BE DUMB.
The snippet is approximately 13 seconds long and appears to be part of a music video, though the poor quality and brief nature of the clip make it difficult to confirm. What is clear is that the song has an undeniable energy. A$AP Rocky showcases his distinctive flow over a dark, pulsating beat, rapping, “Me and these rappers, we nothing alike.”
Could ASAP Be Undefeated?
His confidence shines through, especially after successfully avoiding a potential prison sentence that could have kept him incarcerated for up to two decades. It seems that Ferg, known previously as A$AP Ferg, is positioned next to Rocky as he delivers his verses, suggesting that Ferg may either feature in the song or could be included on the tracklist for the upcoming album, DON’T BE DUMB.

A$AP Rocky had initially planned to drop his album, DON’T BE DUMB, in 2024, but he made a last-minute decision to postpone its release. He attributed this delay mainly to issues surrounding sample clearances.
In an August tweet, he expressed his frustration, stating,
“LEAKS & SAMPLE CLEARANCES ARE DISRUPTING THE ALBUM. IT’S BEEN 6 YEARS & I WANNA MAKE THE BEST ALBUM EVER. I’M SORRY FOR THE WAIT.”
Further discussing the challenges of leaks during a Zane Lowe interview, Rocky revealed that any song that was leaked would ultimately be removed from the album. This led to his choice to release “Taylor Swift” as a standalone single outside of the upcoming project.
“Many of the tracks I perform and things like that tend to end up getting leaked,” Rocky shared with the interviewer. “When that happens, I just can’t include them in the project. I might still perform them occasionally,” he admitted.
But once they’re out there, there’s nothing I can do about it.” On a positive note, the recent snippet seems purposefully released, which suggests a strong possibility that it will be featured on the album DON’T BE DUMB.
