Scoop of the Day:
Grammy-winning artist and cultural icon Young Thug will make his long-awaited return to the stage this Sunday night at Summer Smash 2025, marking his first live performance since spring 2022.

The festival kicks off with a bang as Don Toliver and YEAT co-headline Day 1 with their debut collaborative set: a must-see moment uniting two of the most influential figures in today’s hip-hop scene.
Saturday night, Future steps into the spotlight, returning for a highly anticipated performance. A pioneer of modern rap, Future continues to solidify his legendary status with every appearance.
Chicago’s own rap elite will be well-represented, with performances from G Herbo, Saba, and Famous Dex, leading into Chance the Rapper’s grand homecoming set as he headlines one of the two main stages on Sunday night.

This year’s lineup mixes familiar favorites and exciting newcomers. Returning stars include Sexyy Red, Quavo, SahBabii, Nav, Ski Mask the Slump God, Trippie Redd, NLE Choppa, Nettspend, and OsamaSon. First-time festival performers like hip-hop legend Soulja Boy and rising voices 1900Rugrat and Che bring fresh energy to the stage.
“We’re thrilled to bring fans the seventh installment of the world’s biggest independent hip-hop festival,” said Berto Solorio, cofounder of Summer Smash and founder of SPKRBX.
Cole Bennett, cofounder and founder of Lyrical Lemonade, added:
“It’s a blessing to throw the ultimate celebration with my closest friends. Here’s hoping this is our best one yet: lucky number 7.”
