Scarlett Johansson had forewarned fans of the dinosaur franchise that the upcoming Jurassic World Rebirth movie could be the scariest one in the series so far. While speaking to E! News, Johansson revealed that the film has some spine-chilling moments, but it’s still something the whole family can enjoy.
“Other Jurassic fans told me this is the scariest one, but I’d still let my daughter watch it,” she shared. Johansson has a 10-year-old daughter named Rose with her ex-husband, Romain Dauriac.
“It’s still family-friendly,” she added before teasing, “You might just have to watch it through your fingers!”
Johansson also looked back on when she saw the original Jurassic Park as a 10-year-old. “It left a big impression on me, all the jump scares, the laughs, and definitely the scary parts,” she said.
Now, she’s excited that her younger kids, including her 3-year-old daughter Cosmo with husband Colin Jost, will get to experience something similar.
“That’s what makes Jurassic so fun,” she explained. “It’s exciting on every level. It looks amazing and keeps you on the edge of your seat.”
“The planet’s ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs. Jurassic World: Rebirth is directed by Gareth Edwards. The movie also stars Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, David Iacono, Audrina Miranda, Philippine Velge, Bechir Sylvain, and Ed Skrein.
