The thriller 21 Bridges featuring Chadwick Bozeman has moved it’s release date to November 22. The film was originally set to release September 27, but that date seems just a little too action crowded, where theaters are already expecting Joker on that date. The November 22 release date gives 21 Bridges a bit more focus as it will be counter-programmed with films such as Frozen 2, A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood, and the Reed Morano directed revenge action Rhythm Section.
The decision for the less competitive release date came out after fans postiviely responded to the trailer that was revealed at the 2019 comic con a couple weeks ago. An STX and ABGO production, directors Joe and Anthony Russo will be working on the film with Mike Larocca as executive producer along with script writter Adam Mervis.
Starring Chadwick Boseman as an NYPD detective, the film takes place in the Big Apple where officials are on a city manhunt for two cop killers. As the investigation seems to start unfolding it the identity of who exactly they’re looking for becomes unclear and conspiracies reveal that the detectives themselves are being hunted in return. As the night search intensifies authorities instruct all 21 bridges of the busy traffic city get shut down, for the first time in history, leaving no route for escape – “The Only Way Out Is Through Him” is this films tagline.
