Victorian London is hit with a mysterious citywide communal vision granting certain people extraordinary abilities. This never-before-seen storyline begins in 1896, and is unlike anything ever seen before. With the majority of the powers finding homes in women of the era, it is safe to say we are in for a treat. These powers range from helpful to downright diabolical in the new HBO series The Nevers.
The cast is a range of familiar faces and new. The Ghost Writers‘ Olivia Williams will star alongside James Norton, Laura Donnelly, Tom Riley, Pip Torrens, Ben Chaplin, and Emmy-nominee Denis O’Hare. This genre-bending series is filled with a great deal of adventure and crime fighting antics. ‘The Touched’ (the term used to describe those with abilities) are completely misunderstood. With Amalia True (Donnelly) as their leader, the spectacular women band together and fight their way through an unknown mission. Writer and executive producer Jane Espenson describes this show as a world filled with endless complexities. An inside look is available on HBO Max.
The first 6 episodes of The Nevers premieres tonight, at 9 P.M on HBO Max. Season 1 Part Two’s six episodes will follow at a later date, to be announced.
