The well-esteemed musician Andre 3000 is hitting big screens once again with his debut in Showing Up. The film will be directed by Kelly Reichardt, who did work on First Cow and Certain Women. This upcoming film has also called on Michelle Williams, Hong Chau, Judd Hirsch, Maryann Plunkett, John Magaro, Amanda Plummer, Heather Lawless, Larry Fessenden, and James Le Gros. According to Deadline,
“Showing Up will center around an artist set to launch a “career-changing exhibition,” only to be thrust into a state of “chaos” in her personal and professional life.”
There is no summary of Andre 3000’s role or when the film will premiere. But, it’s said that Michelle Williams will play a lead role.
Andre 3000’s involvement in Showing Up follows his acting role in Claire Denis‘ High Life, which also starred Robert Pattison and Juliette Binoche. He also starred in Jason Segel‘s Dispatches from Elsewhere, which aired on AMC in 2020.
