The trailer for Warner Bro’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has arrived! The new film is a predecessor to the classic 1988 Tim Burton film, which starred Michael Keaton and Winona Ryder. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice will premiere in theaters on September 6, 2024. Keaton, Ryder, and Catherine O’Hara will reprise their respective roles. They’ll join new cast members Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, Burt Gorman, and Justin Theroux.
The teaser for Beetlejuice Beetlejuice starts with Ortega riding past Miss Shannon’s School for Girls on her bicycle. From there, the scene transitions to Ryder, Ortega, and O’Hara attending what seems to be a funeral for a Deetz family member. Before it ends, Ortega and Ryder’s characters reveal a replica of a town at the Deetz family home, and Beetlejuice emerges.
“After an unexpected family tragedy, three generations of the Deetz family return home to Winter River,” the sequel‘s logline states.
“Still haunted by Beetlejuice, Lydia’s life is turned upside down when her rebellious teenage daughter, Astrid, discovers the mysterious model of the town in the attic, and the portal to the Afterlife is accidentally opened. With trouble brewing in both realms, it’s only a matter of time until someone says Beetlejuice’s name three times, and the mischievous demon returns to unleash his very own brand of mayhem.”
