On October 1st, 2020, Billie Eilish premiered the long-awaited music video for the title track on the latest James Bond movie, No Time To Die.
Eilish announced the release of “No Time To Die” in February which debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100. She wrote and recorded this song alongside her brother Finneas, who also produced the track. At the young age of 18, Billie Eilish is the youngest person to ever to record a James Bond theme song.
The “No Time To Die” video, directed by Daniel Kleinman, shows Eilish performing the song along with scenes from the film in a vintage black & white style. The ambiance complements Eilish’s angelic tone and the song’s powerful lyrics such as, “You were never on my side / Fool me once, fool me twice / Are you death or paradise?”
The music video’s release is on the heels of Eilish’s September 29th announcement of her upcoming documentary film directed by RJ Cutler. Titled “Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry,” the film will be released in theaters and on Apple TV+ in February 2021.
No Time To Die featuring Daniel Craig, Ana de Armas, Ralph Fiennes & more will now be released next month after being postponed from April due to the pandemic. It is said to tie up all storylines from Craig’s films as this will be his final time portraying the historic James Bond.
