Eighteen years ago, the television series, Moesha hit the small screen and also allowed viewers to peep in when they went live. Now, word has surfaced that a reboot has been confirmed by one of their lead characters, Brandy.
Sheryl Lee Ralph, the actress who played the role of Moesha’s stepmother, Dee Mitchell asked the famous songstress to be a guest at her DIVA Foundation event. The two were joined by William Allen Young who played Moesha’s father, Frank Mitchell. While Brandy was onstage, Ralph asked her a question that many were dying to know the answer to, “Would you like to do a Moesha reboot?” In response, Brandy jumped for joy, “Yeah! Absolutely.” Then she added, “I’m here to solidify that we’re gonna bring Moesha back.” which left Ralph and Young astounded. “There you go. You heard it right here,” Lee said to the crowd, “You will have a ‘Moesha’ reboot.”
The cast list also included Marcus T. Paulk, Lamont Bentley, Yvette Wilson, Shar Jackson, Ray J, and Countess Vaughn. Bentley died in a car crash 14 years ago and Wilson lost her battle with cervical cancer in 2012.
