Coi Leray recently partnered up with Meta, manga illustrator Acky Bright, anime artist Isago Fukuda and Emmy award-winning director Fx Goby to deliver a music video for “Make My Day (with David Guetta).” It’s also part of the launch of Meta’s new multi-year campaign “It’s Your World.” The campaign showcases how Meta’s universe of tech make positive things happen in their lives.
Coi’s visual for “Make My Day” combines her love for basketball, anime, and hip-hop. After reading a text to check something out, the trendsetter is turned into a personal anime and enters a multihue world. Pretty soon, she ends up competing against gools, self-doubt, and even basketball slinging machinery. Still, she perseveres with encouragement and prowess. The song itself interpolates Technotronic‘s “Pump Up The Jam.”
