Draped in a BAPE, sick tattoos, and the most in-season article of clothing, a face mask, DaBaby announces his new album Blame It On Baby. The surprise LP is set to premiere this Friday, April 17, and was confirmed through an Instagram post along with the projects cover art.
It seems the North Carolina rapper has no intentions of letting up his winning streak. The COVID-19 pandemic is no rival to his artistic drive. Seven months after his last album, Kirk, and just one year after his debut album, Baby on Baby, he is back with some self-isolation heat.
Unlike several musicians who have delayed their albums as a result of the coronavirus, DaBaby is moving forward tactically, and fearlessly. Since many of us are currently home scrolling through social media, and learning new Tik Tok dances this is truly the perfect time to release new bops. DaBaby’s songs are always guaranteed to be a hit, and we are positive that tracks from this new effort will become TikTok hits which will then translate into Billboard hits. “Toes” and “Vibez” from Kirk both went TikTok-viral, and Baby on Baby’s “Suge” was huge across platforms such as TikTok, Dubsmash, and Triller.
To further add to the LP’s bopalicious nature, the album is set to feature collaborations from superstar rappers like Quavo, Roddy Rich, Megan Thee Stallion, Future, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, NBA Youngboy, and R&B icon Ashanti. So, sit back, relax, and stay tuned for more details and a possible single before the album’s final release.
