Earlier this year in January, after signing with Interscope Records, Baby Jesus told Billboard that he’s “trying to have them change my name to ‘Billboard Baby’ by the end of 2019,” and with the release of his new highly anticipated album, Kirk, this Friday he is definitely backing up his bold claims. Yesterday the Charlotte native posted on Instagram announcing the upcoming release date along with the nostalgic cover art for the album.
The LP’s track list reveals features from industry heavyweights such as Migos, Chance The Rapper, Lil Baby,Nicki Minaj, YK Osiris, Gucci Mane, Moneybagg Yo, Stunna 4 Vegas, and Kevin Gates. Ending off last week with the release of “Intro” on Friday, Sept 20th, DaBaby set out to get fans excited, stake a claim on his historic Rookie of the Year campaign, and close out 2019 on a high note.
