When it comes to a man like Keanu Reeves, one would think he has done it all in his illustrious career. With two incredibly successful franchises in The Matrix and John Wick franchises under his belt as well as dozens of other acting credits, the esteemed actor has left virtually no stone unturned in his pursuit of greatness. He is truly no stranger to virtually any role Hollywood has to offer him, and his latest project serves as a prime example of that. DC Comics has announced that Reeves will provide his voice for their latest project DC League of Super-Pets in which Reeves will voice the iconic superhero Batman.
Though it may appear somewhat different than your typical superhero project, DC Comics next endeavor is set to be the animated film DC League of Super-Pets. As the title may indicate, the purpose of the upcoming film is to shift the focus away from the iconic superheroes that DC has become notorious for and instead place it upon their K-9 companions that aid them in their daily crime-fighting duties. With that being said though, the superheroes have to have some role and that’s where Reeves comes in: the fan-favorite actor is set to lend his talents to the film and voice one of the most iconic superheroes of all time, Batman. While many are still digesting Robert Pattinson’s latest stint in the iconic role, the new trailer for DC League of Super-Pets is sure to have fans enthralled featuring Reeves’ boorish voice behind the iconic Batman ensemble alongside an equally star-studded cast that also features the voices of Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. Despite how out-of-the-box it may be, DC League of Super-Pets has plenty of potential and moviegoers can find out exactly how much for themselves when it premieres on May 1st.
Though it doesn’t fit the typical mold, DC League of Super-Pets should certainly still be interesting. DC is certainly pulling out all of the stops with such an impressive cast, making the movie almost certain to be a blockbuster hit well before its release date. We will just have to see how DC League of Super-Pets fares when it debuts in theaters this May.
