Lil Wayne has been at the forefront of Drake’s career since the very beginning. Launching off Drake’s creative direction with a sign off to his label, Cash Money Records, Weezy F Baby took part on records like “HYFR,” “I’m Goin In,” and “The Motto.” In hindsight, Lil Wayne has been Drake’s roll dog for a minute now, so it was only right for the OVO King to show a small dosage of his appreciation via Instagram.
Posting up multiple flicks of the two, including snaps from the “HYFR” video and Drizzy’s impression of Wayne on SNL, the Take Care singer/rapper made sure to pay his respects toward his GOAT. “More life to the man that gave me everything I have!!! My GOAT and not just on some emoji shit,” he penned in the caption, before quoting a line from Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter II. “Sometimes I wanna drop a tear but no emotions from a king…shall be…so I be…who I be… that’s me… that’s Weezy F Baby, and please say the mothafuckin…”
Rumor has it that the two rap icons have another co-headlining tour. This musical venture will serve as a sequel to their 2014 co-headlining Drake Vs. Lil Wayne tour.
