New York-based emcees, Durgaveli and Citytheking teamed up to create the perfect anthem for the massive activity that’ll commence after COVID is over.
“Back Outside” is a bass-heavy, feel-good hip-hop offering that finds the two speaking about what they intend on doing once the restrictions are uplifted.
Durgaveli goes up first, using brazen bars and a confident approach to the instrumental. Lyrically, she spits out braggadocious rhymes about her musical agility, charm, attractiveness, and how she puts the haters to rest.
She raps, “And I got the juice, real sweet like guava/He loves it when I rap, said I sound like ‘Big Poppa.’“
Elsewhere, she adds that nothing can distract her from what’s important, saying “vision on binocular.”
Afterward, Citytheking takes the microphone. He uses a merciless flow to express how he and his friends will spend their time after things go back to normal in his verse. Then, he drops a PSA for the haters out there.
He raps,
“Movie don’t miss the main attraction/We gon get turnt we got the traction/All my n*ggas ride dirty, but the whip clean/N*ggas knew I had the heat since 16.”
Secondly, he says, “Sh*t is mine for the taking/Ain’t no lane for me/So for me to make it I’ma make it/F*ck anybody hating.”
The visual finds Durgaveli and Citytheking enjoying the scenery and chilling with some of their closest friends.
