Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has officially unveiled the release date for Black Adam. The actor/wrestler will be starring in the DC Universe film.
To announce the film’s arrival, he hopped on Instagram. “A disruptive and unstoppable global force of a message from the man in black himself. BLACK ADAM is coming July 29, 2022,” he wrote underneath the post. “The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change.”
In 2019, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson spoke about Black Adam for the very first time. Earlier this week, he let the cat out of the bag some more, saying that Pierce Brosnan will play Dr. Fate.
“Such a pleasure to announce the final member of our #JusticeSociety, the badass statesman, Mr @PierceBrosnanOfficial as the iconic and all-knowing, DR. FATE,” he wrote in another Instagram post. “I’m grateful to have such a talented, diverse and hungry cast. The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe is about to change…”
Other cast members include Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone. Johnson will play a titular character. Production will begin in three weeks.
Stay tuned for more updates on the film.
