On Wednesday (Dec. 18), it was announced that for the highly anticipated ninth installation of the franchise, the Fast & Furious family is headed back to Miami. Returning to the setting of 2 Fast 2 Furious, the trailer will drop Jan. 31, along with a concert during Super Bowl weekend.
Keeping it in the family for the concert, Ludacris, Cardi B, Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth, and Ozuna will all be performing. Ludacris has been a mainstay of the franchise since 2 Fast 2 Furious and Wiz Khalifa and Puth collaborated for Furious 7‘s emotional anthem “See You Again.” Both Ozuna and Cardi B will have small roles in Fast 9.
Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Nathalie Emmanuel, Helen Mirren, and Charlize Theron all return for Fast 9, while Finn Cole and John Cena are among the newcomers. For more information on the upcoming film, please check back on The Feature Presentation.
