The cast has been set for the newest Final Destination horror franchise. Borys Kit’s new Heat Vision newsletter for The Hollywood Reporter states that Brec Bassinger, Teo Briones, and Kaitlyn Santa Juana will star in Final Destination 6. Additionally, production for the film has already kicked off in Vancouver. Bassinger is known for her role in Nickelodeon’s Bella and the Bulldogs. Briones, however, is highly recognized for playing Junior Wheeler in the Chucky series. Meanwhile, Juana acted in the hit musical Dear Evan Hansen. She’s appeared in a few episodes of The Flash and Grendel as well.
“After a long, hard slog through the pandemic and the strikes, Day One is finally in the can,” the film’s announcement reads. “2025 will mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the first installment in the franchise. To honor the occasion with another worldwide theatrical release (in IMAX, no less) is a rare and wonderful thing.” No other details about Final Destination 6 have been revealed at this time.
The first Final Destination hit theaters in 2000 and starred Devon Sawa, Ali Larter, Kerr Smith, and Tony Todd. Following its release, the movie amassed $112.9M in the box office.
