The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Ryan Murphy‘s spine-chilling horror series, American Horror Story, has been approved to do three new seasons. The tenth season will premiere sometime this year.
Coming Soon says that “…the possibility of additional seasons was up in the air following Murphy’s departure from 20th Century Fox TV who moved his overall deal to Netflix. Minear’s renewal of his overall deal with the studio helped secure more seasons of the anthology series.”
To date, American Horror Story reels in 1 billion viewers from its 103 episodes and nine seasons. The cast list includes Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Billie Lourd, Jessica Lange, Emma Roberts, Taissa Farmiga, Lady Gaga, Angela Bassett, Dylan McDermott, Connie Britton, and many more.
American Horror Story has earned over 16 Emmy nominations and two Golden Globe awards.
