Succession star Juliana Canfield will lead Peacock’s upcoming show The Missing. She’ll play alongside Jeff Wilbusch in the eight-episode series. The show is based on Dror A. Mishani’s best-selling novel The Missing File.
The Missing follows a character named Detective Avraham, who has the talent of figuring out the truth in any given situation. Avraham is guided by a deep sense of spirituality and religious principles but questions these elements once an investigation goes wrong.
Canfield plays Janine Harris, a new detective with the NYPD. She leans on Avraham as her mentor, but Avraham prefers to work alone. Luckily, Harris and Avraham are partnered together in the end.
The show is written by David E. Kelley, who also serves as the showrunner and executive producer.
