Ten-time Grammy winner Justin Timberlake teamed up with nine-time Grammy nominee SZA for the futuristic music video for their new duet “The Other Side”, which dropped this past Wednesday.
Director Daniel Russell used the same sort of fisheye lens perspective made popular by Missy Elliot, Busta Rhymes, and Michael Jackson videos from the nineties. “I’ve been a fan of SZA for a long time” says Timberlake. “When we started working on The Other Side, it was clear that her voice and vision were exactly what the song needed and I’m honored to have collaborated with her on this…I’m really proud of this one and the message it represents” he continued.
“All the Stars” songstress was an absolute disco doll wearing a series of silver sequin catsuits as well as a purple Michael Costello creation selected by stylist June Ambrose. Justin and SZA’s clip for the bouncy pop song, produced by Ludwig Göransson, has already amassed over 324K views on YouTube.
The Other Side will appear on the Trolls World Tour soundtrack, which Timberlake executive-produced, and it hits shelves on March 13. Check out video below.
