Kid Cudi and Kenya Barris are set to drop an animated series on Netflix together, however, they are introducing something new!
The series will be based on Kid Cudi’s new album, “Entergalactic.” starring Cudi, as the young man who will be taking us on a journey to find love. It will include music from the album throughout the storyline.
According to Variety
Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, will star in, write and executive produce the series with Ian Edelman also writing and executive producing. Barris will executive produce under his Khalabo Ink Society banner, which is currently set up under an overall deal at Netflix.
Cudi is known for his top single Day N Night, in addition to various albums such as Man on the Moon I&II, Indicud, and his two most recent albums Passion, Pain and Demon Slayin in 2016, and Kid Sees Ghost in 2018. He is currently working on a new HBO series “We Are Who We Are,” with Luca Guadagnino.
Barris is known for ABC’S Blackish, Mixed-ish, and Freeform’s Grown-ish amongst many more.
The album is set to release by Republic Records, and the series is set to release sometime in 2020.
