King Size expresses gratitude for his homeland, soon-to-be-wife, and the royal King in his debut single “Salute.” This newest tune will be apart of his upcoming album All Day, which drops in December 2020. In summary, King Size takes a melodic approach to Patois as he speaks about a woman who’s caught his eye, staying true to his roots and giving praise to the Most High.
The multi-faceted musician teamed up with producer Jauhvani Williams, engineer Noreco Burgess, and songwriter/recording artist Kevun Arorash to generate a feel-good song that uses a musical styling akin to the islands and his origins of Bermuda.
King Size, known from birth as Kevun M Arorash, is passionate about writing and performing for the culture.
He strives to influence the youth with his blend of genres and words of wisdom. “I envision myself as a commodity,” says King Size.
His musical journey dates back to his younger years. It also helped that his father, OG Cabarnnie, was an emcee as well. While building his name, King competed in battles and clashes, often one-upping his competition. Fast forward to 1999, and King’s song “Why” was played by one of the hottest DJs in Bermuda, Jim Brown, from OutKass Sound.
Now, King Size is making his mark by taking a distinctive twist on genres like Afrobeat, pop, R&B, and hip-hop. The breakout artist prides himself on making music for people worldwide.
“Salute” is just the beginning of King’s ascending music career.
