Recently, Lil Wayne sat down with the Los Angeles Times to speak about his career, amongst other things. In their conversation, the hip-hop icon vocalized his opinion on the newer generation of rappers. He applauded Polo G for “real genuine” and even Pooh Shiesty. The 1017 Records signee is most known for his song, “Big PURR (feat. Coi Leray)” and “Back In Blood.”
Speaking more on why he enjoys both artists, he says
“Music lacks some creativity. But I like the real calm, cool flow of Pooh Shiesty. It gives me an old Fabolous vibe. LPB Poody, I did the remix for a song called ‘Batman.’ One of the lines whacked me in the face, and I said, ‘OK, you got bars, you’ll probably be around for a minute.’ And Polo G, I think he’s genuine.”
In other Weezy news, he appeared on LPB Moody‘s “Batman” remix with Moneybagg Yo. Keep it locked here for more updates!
