Lil Wayne has had a hardworking, accomplished year, and is ending 2020 on a high note. The rapper recently released his newest mixtape, “No Ceilings 3”, just about a month ago, and it was met with high demand. The initial mixtape was hosted by DJ Khaled and already had multiple collabs with other artists of his caliber, such as Drake and Young Thug. Now, the part 2 addition to this mixtape was finally released yesterday, on December 18. The second part is a 14 track set called “Side B”.
“Side B” features a collection of songs that were not on the original mixtape. This new part 2 makes the deluxe version of the mixtape, and is only available on one relatively niche platform DatPiff. “Side B” has many more high level artist collabs and plenty of support. Big Sean worked on the new mix with Lil Wayne and was jointly promoting its release for the last week, especially sharing his excitement about the project, on December 17th, the day before it came out. DJ Khaled also hosted this deluxe edition of the album, and as shown in the image, there are clearly even more exciting collabs with Rich The Kid, Euro, Lil Twist, and 2 Chainz. Most importantly, as for Big Sean, who has actively worked with Lil Wayne on the album, the song with him in it is the headliner, the anchor, which is symbolic and respectful, but at the same time a fun, catchy song.
