Since the release of his album, Funeral, and appearance on The Masked Singer last month, Lil Wayne has continued putting out work in different ventures. More recently, he worked on a song with Dipset’s Juelz Santana called “Boiling Water.” And not too long ago, Wayne sat down with MTV’s Fresh Out to speak about his performance as a robot, potentially working with Lizzo in the future and his vault of songs.
Amid the interview, reporter Jamila Mustafa asked Wayne about his vault, which she said contained over eighty songs. However, this statement seemed to be false, and Wayne took it upon himself to correct her. “She said eighty songs in your vault… she said two-hundred,” laughed Lil Tunechi before hinting at his “no days off” work ethic, “I’ll put it like this. When you leave the studio, and you ask, ‘can I get what I did tonight?’ it comes back as files. My last files were 53. I did 53 songs that night.”
In the words of Lil Baby in “I Do It,” “[Wayne] don’t really sleep or take naps, no snoozin’.”
