The live-action remake of Bambi has an official director tagged to it.
On Tues (June 13), Deadline reported that Sarah Polley is potentially overseeing the directing. Polley is known for directing Take This Waltz and Stories We Tell. Additionally, Polley won the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay this year for her movie Women Talking.
The live-action Bambi movie is written by Geneva Robertson-Dworet, who has worked on Tomb Raider and Captain Marvel, and Lindsey Beer.
The film will be a revamp of the 1942 Disney animated film about, as per ComingSoon, “a young deer struck by tragedy who grows up with a rabbit named Thumper and a skunk named Flower.“
