Less is more! Retired rapper and YouTube sensation, Logic, named Sir Robert Bryson Hall II, proves this as he brings the heat with new one minute song, Tired in Malibu. Logic released the new song on his BobbysWorld YouTube channel which is his gaming channel. The song was released with cover art of him sitting next to his son. Logic, best known for his suicide prevention song, 1-800-273-8255, announced last June that he would be retiring.
Logic released a statement about his retirement on Twitter. He posted cover art for his seventh and final album titled, No Pressure, with the caption, “It’s been a great decade. Now it’s time to be a great father.” The statement left fans thinking that the reason for his retirement was to focus on his new child. Logic later contradicted himself on the reason for retirement during an interview with a HipHop editor from Billboard. During a virtual interview with Carl Lamarre, Logic stated,
“I just wanted to retire because I’m just over it man, and not even in a negative way, I’m just over it. I love music and I’m going to continue to make music on my own … It’s how I express myself, it’s how I heal.”

Logic wouldn’t be the first artist to rescind their announcement of retirement and won’t be the last. Fans speculate that the new song may be a prelude of more music to come. Logic concludes his new song by rapping, “Retired for a minute but I guess I’m back man.” Is Logic backing out of retirement? One can only speculate. What we do know is that Logic loves his fans and places high value on real connections with his fans, so he may not be ready to leave his fans just yet. Listen to new song below.
