Highly anticipated Marvel film, Black Widow, is finally making it’s way to theaters! Marvel Studios released the new trailer announcing the official release date which is July 9, 2021. The movie will be released in theaters and also on Disney+ with premiere access.
The trailer did not disappoint, showing action packed scenes of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, played by Scarlett Johansson. The trailer broke records, reportedly being viewed over 70 million times within the first 24 hours of release. The movie depicts Black Widow’s life before joining the Avengers. The trailer builds viewers curiosity for the film with the display of the words, “Her world, her secrets, her legacy.” Johansson passionately states in the trailer, “We have to go back to where it all started.”
The film is said to highlight the fact that sometimes we must revisit the past in order to move forward. Johansson stated in a previous interview,
“It’s a film about self-forgiveness and it’s a film about family … I think in life we sort of come of age many times and you have these kind of moments where you’re in a transitional phase and then you move sort of beyond it.”
If the 70 million trailer views are any indication of future box office numbers, then the movie is bound to be a hit! See below for the trailer.
