After years of anticipation, NAV is officially making his rave return! On March 28th, the Canadian rapper, producer, and singer-songwriter will finally drop On My Way 2 Rexdale, a self-produced mixtape that fans have been eagerly awaiting since 2022.
A Long Time Coming
NAV first teased the project back in October 2022, originally referring to it as NAV2. At the time, he excitedly shared on social media:
“I’m currently working on NAV2. The entire project is self-produced and it feels good!!! Can’t wait to share with you guys…”
Since then, the road to On My Way 2 Rexdale has been filled with delays, reworks, and cryptic teasers. The first trailer dropped in February 2023, though it has since disappeared from the internet. The second trailer surfaced in May 2023, initially hinting at a Summer 2024 release—but that, too, came and went without the project dropping.
Now, nearly a year later, NAV has locked in a release date with the unveiling of a third and final trailer, confirming that On My Way 2 Rexdale is set to arrive at the end of this month!
A Personal Return To His Roots
This mixtape is deeply personal for NAV. The title itself pays homage to his birthplace, Rexdale, Ontario, a nod to his journey and evolution as an artist. Fans are also viewing this project as a spiritual successor to his acclaimed 2017 self-titled debut, making it one of his most highly anticipated releases to date.
A Cinematic Teaser With Trippy Symbolism
The latest trailer gives a surreal glimpse into NAV’s world. The visual opens with him riding in the back of a white Rolls-Royce Cullinan, a subtle callback to previous teasers. But things take a strange turn when NAV seemingly passes out, and the scene shifts to what looks like his childhood bedroom—except the floor is made entirely of water. As he curiously touches it, he is suddenly pulled underneath, free-falling into an endless abyss, all while snippets from the project play in the background.
What To Expect From On My Way 2 Rexdale
While an official tracklist has yet to be revealed, several unreleased songs have been floating around, including “Lately,” “Baller,” “Rexdale,” and “6AM Thoughts”. The project will mark NAV’s first full-length release in three years, following 2022’s Demons Protected by Angels, which featured Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Future, Don Toliver, and many more.
With NAV fully embracing his production skills, On My Way 2 Rexdale promises to be a raw, immersive experience that blends his signature atmospheric sound with introspective storytelling.
March 28th — NAV’s Comeback Begins
The countdown is officially on. After years of anticipation, On My Way 2 Rexdale is finally on the way. Will it live up to the hype? Only time will tell—but one thing’s for sure: NAV is ready to reclaim his place at the top. For now, stay tuned here for the official track list and more details as we approach release day!
