It’s the end of an era for character Lucifer Morningstar — it has been speculation regarding the show’s status and Netflix has recently confirmed they will be giving the show it’s fifth and final season.
The series made it’s debut on Fox and lasted only three seasons before it was cancelled and picked up by Netflix, giving the creators an opportunity to continue the story with a fourth season. The streaming platform released a statement to the show’s viewers.
“We’re thrilled that Lucifer fans around the world have embraced this series on Netflix, and we can’t wait to give them the big finish they’ve all been waiting for.”
Lucifer’s executive producers Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson, even commented on the excitement surrounding the show’s continuation and now, proper ending.
“We are so incredibly thankful to Netflix for resurrecting our show last season, and now letting us finish the story of Lucifer on our terms. Most importantly, we want to thank the fans for their incredible passion and support. The best is yet to come!”
