Netflix has released the official trailer of their upcoming docuseries titled, My Love: Six Stories of True Love. The trailer gives viewers a beautiful glimpse of what true love looks like. The series follows six long-time couples with unique stories from six different countries. Per the trailer, there will be a couple represented from the US, Spain, Brazil, Japan, Korea and India. It will give an intimate look into their relationships.
Netflix describes the series stating, “Six long-time couples in different parts of the world share their decades-long love in these tender portraits filmed over the course of one year.” The series is set to be released on April 13.
The series is an expansion and inspired by the 2014 documentary, My Love, Don’t Cross That River, by visionary director Jin Mo-young. Described as visual poetry, My Love, Don’t Cross That River, followed a couple of 76 years. The film documented their intimate relationship and love during the last 15 months of their relationship. The film was considered a huge hit attracting 4.8 million viewers in South Korea in 2014. My Love: Six Stories of True Love will give the original documentary a modern day look into relationships, while adding a diverse twist. Judging by the trailer, the series will be tearjerker!
