This weekend, Gwen Stefani and the other band members in No Doubt performed together for the first time in ten years at Coachella. Comprised of Stefani, bassist Tony Kanal, guitarist Tom Dumont, and drummer Adrian Young, the band’s 80-minute set exuded nothing but nostalgic vibes as they performed hit singles: “Hella Good,” “It’s My Life,” “Spiderwebs,” “Don’t Speak,” and more.
Their energetic performances were met with a highlight of the punk bands’ former adventures and other monumental moments in their careers. Gwen Stefani even did ten push-ups before delving into “Just a Girl” and encouraged the male attendees to sing the single’s chorus, proving that No Doubt still never misses a beat. Elsewhere in their set, No Doubt was joined by GUTS pop singer Olivia Rodrigo while they performed their 2000 single, “Bathwater.”
Millennials and Gen-X fans were equally excited about the band’s reunion, expressing that No Doubt crushed their Coachella set.
“I’m in awe of No Doubt’s set at Coachella last night. They sounded amazing. Played my absolute favorite song. Brought out Olivia. Even did some pre-Tragic Kingdom tracks,” one X user typed. “Also, @gwenstefani has more energy on stage at Coachella than I do after walking up a flight of stairs.”
Another X user even said that No Doubt’s performances raised the bar for the annual musical festival.
They typed: “That No Doubt set was f**king flawless, the absolute best thing that has hit the Coachella stage since Beychella.”
No Doubt is a California-based rock band that formed in 1986. Throughout their career, No Doubt has compiled six albums: No Doubt, The Beacon Street Collection, Tragic Kingdom, Return of Saturn, Rock Steady, and Push and Shove. Before Coachella, their last show was in 2015. Currently, Gwen Stefani is a solo artist, while band members Tony, Tom, and Adrian have formed a new group called Dream Car.
