The annual BET awards took place last night (June 23) at the Staples Center in sunny Los Angeles. The star-studded event was filled with well deserved awards to it’s respectable winners and litt performances.
One performance in particular, is all fans are raving about the day after. Migos member Offset opened the show with wife Cardi B in their joint duo performance of “Clout” and Cardi’s latest single”Press”. During the performance, fan’s were shocked to see Offset in sync with his background dancers. There was a lot of body popping, two steps and body rolling Offset did in perfect synchronization with the beat.
“OFFSET GOT MOVES I GOT A ADVANTAGE IMA DO MORE CHOREOGRAPHY,” the rapper stated on his Twitter account on Sunday (June 23). He later added, “MORE THAN A RAPPER I ENTERTAIN.”
Fans also took to Twitter to express their shock:
“A lot of people don’t know Offset was a dancer way before rapping,” one fan wrote.
Another one stated, “Bring that vibe back … you’re underrated, most people still don’t know you’re hella talented @OffsetYRN Do the culture with the dance moves.”
One fan even compared Offset to the late Michael Jackson. “Offset MJ2” to describe Offset as Michael Jackson 2.0.
A fun fact most fans about the Migos rapper is before he was a rapper, the Georgia native was a back up dancer for the late legend Whitney Houston. He was also present in Houston’s video of her 2002 single “Whatchulookinat.
