Offset vows to pay his respect to his late cousin, Takeoff, at the end of all his concerts. He compares dealing with his cousin’s passing to being in a dark place.
In a visual shared on his Instagram, Offset can be seen looking at a picture of Takeoff during his latest concert while Jackson 5’s “Never Can Say Goodbye” plays in the background.
“Before every show,” Offset wrote underneath the post. “I love you, bra.”
Cardi B once took to Twitter to share how Offset has been dealing with this loss and what she’s done to support him.
“We are living our lives normally, but deep down inside, our hearts have been so heavy,” Cardi said in a since-deleted post.
“I feel like if I talk about the incident so desensitized. If we talk about how we feel or what motherfuckers have been going through, you all will start saying, ‘Oh, sympathy.’ And we don’t want any sympathy. We aren’t a charity case. But no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy.”
In November, Takeoff was shot and killed at a bowling alley in Houston, TX. A possible suspect has since been detained.
