Deadline reports that former Playboy Magazine model and Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson will join Taken actor Liam Neeson in Paramount Pictures’  Naked Gun reboot. The upcoming film takes inspiration from the 1968 Naked Gun franchise and the television series Police Squad!. In the untitled comedy movie reboot, Pamela Anderson will play Liam’s love interest, according to The Guardian. Liam Neeson takes on the role of a mysterious, amateurish police detective named Frank Drebin. In the original flick, Leslie Nielsen played this character. 

Sometime in the early 1990s, the Naked Gun installment amassed over $216 million at the box office. Naked Gun is known for its on-screen pranks, outlandish parodies, and quirky set-ups. 

Akiva Schaffer, a member of the Lonely Island comedy group Hot Rod, and Daniel M. Stillman will executive produce and direct the Naked Gun rendition. The screenplay is written by Schaffer, Dan Gregor, and Doug Mand. Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins serve as the movie’s producers. Other details surrounding the film have yet to be disclosed. 

The untitled Naked Gun film will debut in theaters on July 18, 2025.
