Paramount Pictures has officially announced that The Angry Birds Movie 3 is heading to the big screen. While plot details remain under wraps, sources confirm that Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride will reprise their roles as Red, Chuck, Silver, and Bomb. Newcomers to the voice cast include Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, and Tim Robinson, along with Marcello Hernandez, Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, James Austin Johnson, and Psalm West.

Returning to direct the third installment is John Rice, known for his work on The Angry Birds Movie and Beavis & Butt-Head Do the Universe. The screenplay is penned by The Angry Birds Movie 2 writer Thurop Van Orman, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Sonic the Hedgehog’s Toru Nakahara. The film is produced by John Cohen, Dan Chuba, and Carla Connor. Grammy winner Heitor Pereira, on the other hand, is handling the soundtrack. She’s created scores for the previous Angry Birds films and other animated blockbusters like Minions and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish.
The first-ever Angry Birds movie, which debuted in 2016, brought in $352 million globally. Its 2019 sequel, however, earned less, amassing $147.8 million worldwide. With Paramount now taking over distribution, Rovio and SEGA emphasized that the Angry Birds film series has surpassed $500 million in the global box office.

“We’re absolutely thrilled to be teaming up with Paramount Pictures and couldn’t be prouder of our stellar cast,” Cohen said in an official statement. “Jason, Josh, Rachel, and Danny are back to bring their iconic characters to life, and they’re joined by an incredible lineup of today’s top comedic talent. It’s an amazing group, and we’re excited to share what’s coming.”
