Netflix has officially unveiled the release date for their international crime drama show, Peaky Blinders. The series headed over to U.K. television almost two weeks ago and has already aired two episodes out of its six-episode season run.
Peaky Blinders returns to the streaming platform on June 10 in the U.S. Production for its untitled film will possibly begin in 2023.
The synopsis reads,
Peaky Blinders is set in the lawless streets of Birmingham as it tracks the evolution of leader Tommy Shelby from backstreet crime lord to legitimate businessman and member of parliament. The fifth season finds the world thrown into turmoil by the financial crash of 1929.
When Tommy Shelby MP is approached by a charismatic politician with a bold vision for Britain, he realizes that his response will impact not only the future of his family but that of the entire nation.”
The drama stars Cillian Murphy, the late Helen McCrory, Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, and Finn Cole. The cast also includes Anya Taylor-Joy, Brian Gleeson, Neil Maskell, and Sam Claflin .
New cast members include James Frecheville, Conrad Khan, and Amber Anderson.
