The perfect vibe for a rainy day is lighting some candles and bumping R&B. Earlier today, Instagram woke up to the acoustic sounds of Will Gittens and discovered his new single “Alone.” The Trinidadian artist croons over a soft guitar-brimming beat as he pours his heart out, expressing the heartbreak he’s been left with during quarantine.
“Should’ve left you when I had the chance/ Before you lied to me, before you made amends/ Now I’m stuck here, looking stupid/ Put my trust in someone who abused it.”
The second verse strikes the heart’s chords as his lyrics truly embody the message of the song. If he is currently in love and all it’s doing is hurting him, he would rather be alone. Everybody should take heed to the track and put it on repeat. “Alone” is available on Apple Music and Spotify.
