Richard Donner, the Lethal Weapon sequence’s director, unveiled during his sit-down with The Telegraph that’ll he be working on The Lethal Weapon’s last film.
“This is the final one,” Donner said. “It’s both my privilege and duty to put it to bed. It’s exciting, actually… Hahaha! It’s the last on. I’ll promise you that.”
The film began running in 1987 and has since produced four films. The last movie, Lethal Weapon 4, ran in 1998. Altogether, each movie grossed $285 million at the box office.
The release date has not dropped yet.
