Moments before Rihanna performed for the Superbowl LVIII halftime show, she said that Beyonce inspired and prepared her for this latest gig.
During a sit-down with Nate Burleson on NFL and iHeart Radio’s The Process, Rih also applauded the singer-songwriter. To prepare for her upcoming performance, she took notes on Beyonce’s halftime show in 2013.
The “Diamonds” singer said:
“I watched Beyoncé’s halftime performances a couple of times. She is a beast and a whole other level. Just to be inspired, really.”
After headlining solo, Beyonce joined Bruno Mars and Coldplay for their time onstage in 2016.
