Three must be a bittersweet number for Ryan Destiny!
Just as Lee Daniels confirms the celebratory 2 hour finale of STAR after three seasons, Destiny secures her next bag as a recurring cast member on Season 3 of Grownish.
The scripted series created by Kenya Barris, already consists of high profiled celebrities Yara Shahidi, Trevor Jackson, Lukas Sabbat, Chloe & Halle and newly added member Diggy Simmons.
The story unravels Zoey, played by Shahidi, leaving her parents Dre (Anthony Andersion) and Bow (Tracee Ellis Ross) from Blackish to immerse into the world of adulting with her group of friends. She faces college hardships, love triangles, financial struggles, and more. Learning a new lesson each year and realizing that she can’t get through anything without her girls by her side.
According to Deadline.
Destiny will play Jillian, a transfer student from an HBCU who has come to study filmmaking at Cal U. Smart, worldly, and cultured, Jillian can talk art and music with Luca (Luka Sabbat), politics and activism with Aaron (Trevor Jackson), and also fits right in with Zoey (Yara Shahidi) and her eclectic crew of girls.
Season three is now currently in production with no airdate confirmed, but Grownish S2 airs Wednesdays at 8PM on Freeform.
