Variety reports that the 1996 horror classic, Scream, is in for a reboot. The new spin on this film is said to be distributed by Spyglass Media Group. Directors Matthew Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, who worked together on last year’s fan-favorite Ready Or Not, will join forces once more. For now, this is the only details that have been unveiled about the forthcoming flick.
The original film was directed by horror legend Wes Craven and went on to have four sequels.
Here are some fun facts; the Ghostface killer draws inspiration from Edvard Munch’s painting. The previous Scream films earned $608 million in the worldwide box office with sequels released in 1997, 2000 and 2011.
