Sony Pictures has released the trailer for the third Spider-Man villain Venom film. Given the mini clip, Venom: The Last Dance seems to show another side of Tom Hardy‘s reprised role as Eddie Brock.
In the new Venom film, Brock is facing what seems to be an identity change while transforming into a horse-like shape as he fights off a similar alien from Venom Planet. The best part is he will have to face both government agents and aliens as well. Will Eddie Brock and Venom go separate ways for good? The only way to know is by watching Venom: The Last Dance.
One indicator of the end of Venom‘s era came from Sony Motion Picture Group chairman Tom Rothman during an interview with Deadline.
“The third and last Venom is going to be huge,” Rothman said.
“Eddie and Venom are on the run,” the logline states. “Hunted by both of their worlds and with the net closing in, the duo are forced into a devastating decision that will bring the curtains down on Venom and Eddie’s last dance.”
According to IGN, the previous film, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, “improved on everything from the first movie, leaning into its own absurdity.” Despite earning a 57% rate on Rotten Tomatoes, the film earned $506.9 million at the box office.
Venom: The Last Dance debuts in theaters on October 25, 2024.
