Hollywood is certainly no stranger to high budget action films. Classic franchises such as James Bond and James Bourne have come to be what Hollywood is notorious for given both their box office success and death-defying antics that action films continue to utilize to this day. A new project is now going to attempt to do the same with a very unique plot twist and should make it refreshingly unique. This week Sony Pictures released the trailer of Bullet Train, a unique film about a man, played by Brad Pitt, who is trapped on a train full of assassins he must contend with to save their lives.
A battle royale in a sense, Pitt finds himself at its center when he boards a train full of deadly assassins who threaten his life time and time again as he aims to complete his mission before escaping. It also happens to be a rather high-end train with every amenity imaginable located in Asia, making it a peculiarly interesting setting that gives the film a tinge of humor to couple. Pitt isn’t thee only notable name enlisted for the project however: thee esteemed actor is joined by an array of talented names that includes Sandra Bullock, Brian Tyree Henry and pop superstar Bad Bunny, amongst many others. An adaptation of a novel Kōtarō Isaka, Bullet Train is also set to be directed by David Leitch who is best known for his work on franchises such as Deapool and John Wick, making an already impressive cast and crew even more impressive. Eager fans won’t have to wait much longer either with Bullet Train expected to premier in theaters on July 15th.
Despite his lengthy resume, Brad Pitt remains one of the hardest working in Hollywood. He has starred in countless classic films and already cemented his legacy as one of the greatest actors of all time. Bullet Train should only help his case, catapulting Pitt into unfamiliar territory that he is likely to thrive in regardless. We will just have to wait and see with Bullet Train hits theaters this July.
