Euphoria actress Sydney Sweeney is set to star in and produce a movie based on the popular video game Split Fiction. The movie will be directed by Wicked filmmaker John M. Chu, while Deadpool writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are handling the script. The film is based on the video game by Hazelight Studios, which was released on March 6, 2025, and has been a huge hit with fans and critics, selling over two million copies in its first week.
The game follows two authors, Mio Hudson and Zoe Foster, who accidentally get trapped inside the fictional worlds they created. The action-adventure game is known for its creative co-op gameplay and fun platforming challenges.

The film is being produced by Story Kitchen, the same team behind the successful Sonic the Hedgehog movies, along with John M. Chu’s company, Electric Somewhere.
There’s no word yet on who Sydney Sweeney will play or when the movie will be released, but more details are expected soon.
