SZA’s “Shirt” is getting a visual pretty soon. Although its music video was slated for Friday, the singer saw a minor flaw with it and pulled the plug. She addressed the delay during her performance at Austin City Limits. Some days ago, rumors also buzzed around about the possibility of SZA dropping this very optical masterpiece.
After confirming that everyone’s suspicions were correct, she said
“It didn’t come out because I looked at the video, and I was stressed at one small thing in the video. But I fixed that, and it’s turned in and about to come out. That’s the truth.”
The Ctrl hitmaker gave fans a sweet audio treat, hinting at a new body of work.
She said, “If I wouldn’t be in so much trouble, I wanna sing all new songs. ‘Cause, y’all deserve it.”
The “Shirt” music video follows SZA’s second studio album, which is expected to arrive soon.
During an interview with Complex, she spoke more about the project and the creative process.
